CSG West Granite & Floors, at 3905 Fort Worth Hwy, Weatherford, TX 76087, (817) 274-9378, runs every flooring and countertop job the same way: you pick it in the showroom, we measure it at your house for free, trained installers put it in, and we walk it with you before we call it done. Here's what each step looks like from your side, what moves the timeline, and how to get your house ready for install day.

No surprises is the goal. Most install-day headaches start weeks earlier, with a decision nobody made or a question nobody asked.

Step 1: Pick it in person

Start at the showroom. Bring photos, cabinet door samples, paint colors, and an honest picture of how your house gets used.

  • Countertops: walk our yard of over 600 slabs in stock and stand next to the actual slab. Pick your edge style while you're here. If you want quartz, the Cambria® display tower is inside.
  • Flooring: take samples home and look at them in your own light, morning and evening.
  • Both: flooring, countertops, and kitchen and bath remodels all happen under one roof, so you can lay the floor sample next to the slab before you commit.

Make the big calls here, not on install day. Changing a color after the material is ordered can push back your whole schedule.

Step 2: The free measure

We come to your house and take real measurements. Not a guess from a phone photo.

For flooring, the measure covers more than square footage:

  • What's under the current floor, and whether it has to come out
  • The condition of the subfloor or slab
  • Moisture, when it matters
  • Doorways, stairs, and where one floor meets another

For countertops, the measure is about fit:

  • Cabinets have to be set, level, and final. We measure on the cabinets your counters will sit on, not on drawings.
  • Your sink, faucet, and cooktop need to be picked. The cutouts depend on them.
  • Overhangs, seams, and backsplash height get settled now.

Be home for the measure if you can. You'll answer questions about overhang, seam placement, and outlets on the spot instead of trading phone calls for a week.

Step 3: What moves your timeline

Every job has its own clock. These are the things that speed it up or slow it down:

  • In-stock vs. ordered. A slab from our yard doesn't wait on a truck. Special-order flooring and stone do.
  • Decisions. Sink, faucet, edge, transition strips. Each one you leave open is a day you can't schedule.
  • Cabinets. No final cabinets, no final measure. On new builds and remodels, the counter date follows the cabinet date.
  • Demo surprises. Sometimes the old floor comes up and the subfloor underneath needs work. We'll show you, not just tell you.
  • Climate. Hardwood and LVP both need a climate-controlled house. If the HVAC isn't running yet, the floor waits.
  • The builder's schedule. Building in Bluejack Ranch, Bear Creek Ranch, or Rancho Ladera? Your flooring and countertop dates ride on the builder's framing, plumbing, and cabinet dates.

Ask for the expected window before you sign. A straight answer up front beats a surprise later. If something changes on our end, you should hear it from us first.

Step 4: Install day

Countertop install day

  • Clear the counters and empty the sink cabinet.
  • Clear a path from the driveway to the kitchen. Stone is heavy and crews carry it in.
  • Put the dogs up. Doors stay open and a nervous dog in a doorway with a slab coming through is a bad mix.
  • Plan on the kitchen being out of use for the day.
  • Know who's reconnecting the sink and cooktop. Ask on your quote so nobody's waiting on a plumber.
  • After a Parker County rain, let us know about mud or soft ground at the drive. It changes how we get in.

Flooring install day

  • Ask whether furniture moving is on your quote, and clear small stuff, breakables, and closet floors either way.
  • Expect noise and some dust when an old floor comes out. Demo and haul-off are part of the job when the old floor has to go.
  • Keep the HVAC on, especially for hardwood and LVP.
  • Pets and kids do better somewhere else while saws are running.
  • Staying in the house? A lot of customers do. We'll tell you straight if that's a good idea for your job or if you should make other plans for a couple of days.

Step 5: The walkthrough

We walk the finished space with you before we call it done. Look at seams, edges, transitions, and the corner by the fridge that nobody checks until a year later.

Speak up during the walkthrough. It's the easiest time to fix anything, for both of us.

Who to call

One number: (817) 274-9378. Showroom hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Call if your cabinets slip, your builder moves a date, your gate code changes, or you just want to know where things stand. A two-minute call beats a crew showing up to a locked gate.

We work Weatherford, Parker County, Aledo, Willow Park, Hudson Oaks, Azle, Benbrook, Granbury, and west Fort Worth. See the service area FAQ for details.

FAQ

Is the measure free?

Yes. CSG West Granite & Floors offers a free, no-obligation in-home estimate. We come to your house, take precise measurements, talk through your goals, and give you a detailed quote.

Do I need to be home for the measure?

It helps a lot. Questions about overhangs, seams, transitions, and outlets get answered on the spot instead of over a week of phone calls.

Can you measure countertops before my cabinets are installed?

Not for the final measure. Countertops are measured on set, level, final cabinets, so the stone fits the kitchen you actually have.

How long does it take from measure to install?

It depends on the job. In-stock material, final decisions, finished cabinets, and a running HVAC system all keep things moving. Ask for your expected window before you sign.

Can hardwood or LVP go in before the AC is on?

No. Hardwood and luxury vinyl plank both need a climate-controlled house. If climate control isn't reliable, tile, including wood-look tile, is the better pick.

Can I stay home during a flooring install?

Often, yes. It depends on the job. We'll tell you honestly whether to stay or make other plans for a couple of days.

Do you handle flooring and countertops on the same project?

Yes. CSG West handles design, measurement, installation, and finishing in-house for flooring, countertops, and kitchen and bath remodels. We're also certified in both Dekton® and Schluter® Systems installations.
